Welcome to our Bible study and church website!
“Church” refers to those called ones, called by God for salvation in the name of Jesus Christ. Jesus was a teacher but more than that. He was born in fulfilment of the Scriptures and the promises of God given to Abraham and the forefathers. God told Abram, before He named him Abraham, that in him, all nations will be blessed (Genesis 12:1-3). In that the gospel, the Good News about the Savior Jesus Christ was revealed even to Abraham (Galatians 3:8).
We are privileged to live in the time of the New Testament, a better covenant (Hebrews 8:13); we cannot keep all and every dot of the law of God and present ourselves righteous before him at the Day of Judgement. No man can stand righteous before God. However, God sent His only begotten Son, in the form of a man, born of a virgin, so we can be justified of our sin and crimes against God (John 3:16-18).
Jesus lived a sinless life, healed the sick, cast out evil spirits from people, and spent time with sinners and outcasts proclaiming eternal life through repentance and forgiveness. During the time of His ministry he proclaimed the gospel which is a call to repentance and faith him as the kingdom of God is at hand (has come near):
14 Now after John was arrested, Jesus came into Galilee, proclaiming the gospel of God, 15 and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.” (Mark :14-15, ESV)
Jesus’ death on a cross without guilt and sin was the just satisfaction for God’s wrath for our rebellion, pride and evil (1 John 2:2; Romans 3:25). Jesus paid the price for our sin and our guilt. Hence, those who accept Who Christ was and is, and believe in Him, will have their sins forgiven and will have eternal life with God (John 3:15, 16, 36; 4:14; 6:27; Acts 13:48; Romans 5:21; Galatians 6:8; Titus 1:2; 3:7; 1 John 5:18; Jude 1:21).
Those who reject His atoning and perfect sacrifice and His teaching will remain under judgement and will be condemned on the Last and final Day of Judgement (John 12:48; 2 Peter 2:6).
There are many idols and false gods that vie for our attention and ultimately worship. However, there is only one name under heaven by which we can be saved from the grip of sin and death — the name of Jesus (Acts 4:12).
That is why we call on you to believe and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38).
If you are already a part of God’s people we invite you to fellowship and study His Word with us to further abide in Christ and grow in the knowledge of Him and in the joy of being an adopted son of God and a follower of Christ.1
